Mr. Fischman had agreed to visiting us a second time. Today he came to our class and helped us to have an idea of which path to proceed carrier wise. He came to class with a presentation, but not any type of presentation, a presentation which would get us to see inside ourselves further and see exactly what personalities we had. He guided us through the Myers Briggs test, which consisted of recognizing yourself as the following:
Introvert (I) or Extrovert (E)
Sensorial (S) or Intuitive (N)
Rational (T) or Emotional (F)
Judging (J) or Perceptive (P)
I came up with the conclusion of having a personality of an Extrovert, Intuitive, Rational and Perceptive person. In shorter Myers Briggs terms, I am an ENTP.
But you may be wondering what an ENTP personality is like? I wondered the same thing. In a pamphlet given to us by Mr. Fischman about the Myers Briggs test there was a section called Myers Briggs Typology, where the definition to all possibilities of outcomes in personalities.
A person who is specified as ENTP is described as the following.
"Quick, ingenious, stimulating, alert and outspoken. Open to solve new and challenging problems. An expert in generating conceptual possibilities and then analyzing them strategically. Good at interpreting others. Bored with routine things and rarely does the same thing the same way, likely to move from one interest to another."
Knowing this is very useful. But I had to truly prove I was an ENTP. We were told to share 12 of my strengths and 5 of my weaknesses. I came up with the list, and according to Mr. Fischman I am the perfect match to ENTP.
Once I knew that I was the perfect match to ENTP was cool, but what could I do with this information. That is when Mr. Fischman told me possible carriers I could pursue. I have an interest in being a doctor, and he told me that would be a great job for me and my abilities and for the way I handle situations.
To list a few, here are some possible carriers that would suit an ENTP:
-Entrepreneur
-Marketing Manager
-Public Relations Specialist
-Architect
-Industrial Designer
-Reporter
-Urban Planner
-Art Director
-Industrial Engineer
-Environmental Scientist
-Producer or Director
-Executive
-Management Cunsultant
I am glad Mr. Fischman came to visit our class today, even though it was a hectic day. What I learned about myself today is extremely useful for me to know, and it gives me a better base to explore what I could be successful at in the future.
*Successful/Famous ENTP's*
-Walt Disney
-Thomas Edison
-Lewis Carroll
-Benjamin Franklin
