Sleep is the time where our bodies are relaxed, our minds are open and our life is at peace. The brain is an interesting organ of the body, it does things that yet are undiscovered by scientists and works in ways unexplainable to neurologists. The brain is extraordinary.
There's so much we can still learn from the human body, yet our body's technology seems to be more advanced than the ones we have built now-a-days. There's a certain amount of mystery in everything we do, say and act upon. There is only so many things we can control in our life, nothing is guaranteed to happen, there are a number of things that "just happen." While at the beach over new years week, a group of friends and I were having the craziest of discussions about the brain, and religions and the works of our bodies and minds. After three hours of intense talk, I started thinking of my own brain, of how it works, what it thinks about, what makes it work, what it does. I then was flashing back to all my odd dreams I've had over the years and started wondering what they are about and if there are any connections to them and my life awake--when I say 'odd' I truly mean odd with trolls, deers, forests, gorillas, cups, mirrors, anything you can imagine all in the craziest scenarios. I know that dreams are connected to your mind and with real things hidden as objects, which is why when I mentioned this to my friends one suggested to keep a Dream Journal where I document my dreams and figure them out later in life. This is a small interest I've always fascinated with in life: the meanings behind what we dream of.
I've decided to take it on. I will write in my dream journal for a year, fully describing anything I remember from my dreams, then figure them out through research. It all may just be a lie and me being crazy, but I believe there is a connection between what we dream and our lives, so I want to see mine. Im excited to start this new task because I will become more aware of myself as I improve my writing skills.
