If you want it hard enough, you'll do everything in your power to reach your goals. In the IA this week, we have been motivated and effective because we care, because we treat BlendZ as though it were our baby. Growth will only come in a company if the time and care is put into it. And even though our time is somewhat running out in the IA, our care is no where near diminishing. BlendZ has some way to go, but as every class passes on, tasks are being finished and crossed off, and we are getting closer and closer to the end of our cycle with BlendZ, and the closer to our set goal at the beginning of our senior year.
Over the past year and a half in the Innovation Academy we have been learning to deal with autonomy; becoming more independent students and more responsible people. The time has come where our learning is truly put to test. We were left a week with substitute teachers, there to only supervise and up to us for all the rest. I've never seen ourselves be un such a productive environment as the week that has just past. While Topf was gone, we as a class stepped it up individually and worked hard to get our long term and short term tasks nocked off the lists. Augusto and I have been working together on the volunteer section at BlendZ, which includes everything from organizing our workers sales shifts to finding volunteers. This week we have worked heavy on the month of march, fixing up some complicated dates for smoothie sales during mocks--exams--week; once we worked through that, and made sure we had volunteers and working hours were all settled, we realized we had no backups if someone was missing. We started thinking of solutions when we finally came up with the one that made most sense: having backup volunteers. We gathered 3 more volunteers for the month of March, just incase someone cannot show up to their shift. In just the first day, we were so into working and getting everything aligned for the month, that time flew by and Augusto and I had completed four tasks in just one day. It was then I truly realized how much we care about our company. All day we had been working intensely with such motivation to get our tasks done, that we nearly completed them all. When you feel you have ownership over something--in our case, BlendZ--you will do anything and everything to make it thrive and grow. We only have a few months left in the IA, and although we will not be here, BlendZ will remain, and we want it to continue to grow, but in order to do so, we must leave the IA having met certain points for BlendZ. By points I mean we should have accomplished so much so that BlendZ has a solid base running in order to be built on to. If you want it hard enough, you'll do everything in your power to reach your goals. Looking back on all the work we have done and all the time we have put into creating this incredible class business, it's impressive how much we can get done when tight on time and high on motivation.

HineZ! There's a lot of truth here: " When you feel you have ownership over something--in our case, BlendZ--you will do anything and everything to make it thrive and grow."
