Companies stand out by having a
vi sion , by having a reason as to why they've been created. BlendZ, our class business, isn't just about blending the community together, but also about serving our community, giving everyone opportunities and make our schools society a better place.Being part of BlendZ Human Recourses, we've been in charge with finding a suitable cause for BlendZ to donate it's profit to. HR decided that it was best for the business if we would be giving the cause we would be donating to would be our community; giving back to those who serve us all year long is one of the best ways to show that we are thankful and that we care about them.
As we pitched our three ideas to the classroom, we asked how many people took the bus to school--a few students raised their hands--we asked how many people have asked the janitors for help in the soccer fields before--a few students raised their hands--we asked how many people have seen trash left behind after lunch, and had the janitors clean it all up--most students raised their hands.
We aren't always as grateful to those who serve us at school as we believe we are. A thank you can only mean so much as words, but what truly counts as gratitude are the actions you take by picking up your own trash, being respectful and kind. We want to give back to them as an act of gratitude for all they do for us. The school has so many staff members making the school presentable and that make all ends meet so the school runs smoothly, without them, the school would be a complete mess.
BlendZ wants to take this opportunity of giving back to a community to the next level. We want to be I N V O L V E D in our donation and we want to be able to see the difference that we are making. We, as the BlendZ HR group have decided to pivot our focus way from NGO's and focus it on something that has true value to us all: our workers.
We go to one of the best schools in Lima, where the education we recieve is incredible and so high end that we want to extend our knowledge and pass it onto others. We came up with a solution, we've decided that we would hold an event for the chidren (teenagers) of the workers at school that attend public schools. We would ideally have workshops for them to learn the basics that aren't normally taught in school, such as tax payments, financial literacy, entrepreneurship etc. Our idea is a work in progress, but we are advancing at a good pace! We must nail down what it is exactly we will use the money for, wether it's to fund their college years, give them health insurance, or give them what they need at home. That is one of our main tasks at the moment; we know what it is we want to help and what we want to do.
We, as BlendZ, strongly believe that investing our money into those who help us every day is the best way we could possibly give them back a bit of what they give to us on a daily routine. We are so grateful to be where we are, and since BlendZ is all about J O I N I N G people together and B L E N D I N G them, what better way to get the word around for the community to unite, than to give our profit to a cause that blends the Roosevelt society.
We have a long road ahead of us at BlendZ, but the NGO search is nearly to an end! we need to tweaking up some ideas, and come up with solid well thought plans, present them the the class one last time and get consensus on one idea to which we will stick with as our cause recipient of our profits donations.
Lets go!
